Start with a specific reader and one useful promise. An outline helps you see the whole book; a sample section helps you judge the writing before committing to a full manuscript.
1. Describe the book you want to make
Tell us what the book is about, who should read it, and what they should understand or be able to do afterwards. “A practical guide to growing herbs on a small balcony for first-time gardeners” is more useful than “a book about gardening.” Choose your language, tone and chapter structure in the app.
2. Explore one free preview
After verifying your email, you can create one free preview for your account. It includes a full outline, one sample section and a cover. This lets you see the direction and style. The rest of the manuscript has not been generated yet; a preview is not a finished free book.
3. Choose a credit to generate the full book
When you like the direction, choose a one-book purchase or monthly plan. One paid credit starts a complete book generation of up to 10 chapters with 3 sections each, a cover and up to one illustration per chapter. Your account shows the credit balance and plan availability before you pay.
4. Stay with the book as it takes shape
The workspace shows the current stage and saves your book as it progresses. You can return to My books to check a request already in progress. If a connection drops, check that book’s status before starting another request.
5. Edit and review
Read each section, correct the facts, add your own examples and adjust wording until the book sounds like you. Review images for suitability and rights. Manual text editing does not use another book credit. AI assistance is available through explicit editing requests with displayed limits.
6. Export the right file
- PDF: review the designed pages or share a fixed-layout reading copy.
- DOCX: continue editing in a word processor or work with an editor.
- EPUB: review a reflowable ebook for supported reading apps and retailers.
